Air Transat astonished to be singled out by the Air Travel Complaints Commissioner
Air Transat is astonished that it was singled out by the Air Travel Complaints Commissioner and strongly deplores that the Commissioner has chosen to highlight an isolated incident which occurred two and a half years ago, thereby blurring the facts and possibly misleading the public.
'The numbers found in the Commissioner's report speak for themselves: more than two thirds of the complaints apply to scheduled carriers. In addition, the numbers on quality of service are compelling, as Air Transat has a better ratio of complaints than most carriers in Canada. We do not deny that incidents happen. In fact, all carriers experience isolated incidents. And we are committed to do our best to mitigate the consequences for passengers. Our level of complaints and on-time performance are excellent by North American standards,' said Allen B. Graham, President and CEO of Air Transat, who added: 'Our employees work hard and strive for excellence.'
