Handlex, Transat A.T.’s airport services subsidiary, adopts a new visual identity
Handlex, one of Canada’s largest airport services companies and a subsidiary of Transat A.T. Inc., is adopting a new visual identity and new uniforms. The new identity is inspired by the blue star, Transat’s main symbol.
“The adoption of a new identity reflects the importance we give to our customers — passengers as well as airlines — and to our employees,” said Jean-Luc Paiement, President and Chief Executive Officer of Handlex. “Whether we’re talking about passenger check-in, aircraft cleanliness, fast delivery of baggage or cargo, ramp services and ground support equipment, we want to project an image that reflects exactly what we are: an efficient, rigorous and versatile team.”
The new image will be integrated gradually within the company, starting this month with the ground equipment. Passenger agents, aircraft cabin cleaners, ramp services and ground support equipment services employees will all begin wearing their new uniforms in June. The uniforms were designed by Freda’s, a Toronto firm with unparalleled expertise in uniform design and tailoring.
A key partner of Air Transat, which has become, in its category, one of the world’s top-performing carriers, Handlex also serves some 25 other airlines. Its 1,200 specialized employees handle more than 10,000 takeoffs and landings annually.
Handlex, the ground services partner of Air Transat, is a subsidiary of Transat A.T. Inc., one of the largest integrated tourism companies in the world and Canada’s holiday travel leader. Handlex provides airport ground handling services, including passenger greeting and check-in, baggage- and cargo-handling, aircraft cleaning, ramp services, and ground support equipment services at Montreal (Trudeau and Mirabel), Toronto and Vancouver international airports.
